Corporate deregulation
Wealthy get their tax cuts
Without shelter
Without safety
Without healthcare
People die
They wanna break it down
Break it down..
Diversion may be needed
Corporate deregulation
Wealthy get their tax cuts
People die
Break the fixes
Game the system
Break the fixes
Shame the victims
People die

It shouldn't happen
Thought it was impossible
To be divided this way
Such frustration
Pointed at each other
Instead of those who should pay
It's all the plan
To sow hate and division
Redirect anger away
But take a look
Behind the gilded curtains
You'll see the cause right away
There is division by zeroes--
People that are not real people
Simply profit-bent machines
There is division by zero reasons
If you look for reasons
There's no reasons there to find
Exploit the cracks
In a once strong foundation
Then hammer at the divide
Hand us the hammers
Aiming at each other
Then simply sneak off and hide
Up in the box seats
Of the arena
We entertain as we die
But from the colosseum floor
Though we can see everything
The gladiators abide
There is division by zeroes--
People that are not real people
Simply profit-bent machines
There is division by zero reasons
If you look for reasons
There's no reasons there to find
There is division by zeroes--
People that are not real people
Simply profit-bent machines
There is division by zero reasons
If you look for reasons
There's no reasons left defined
RESIST
They are the machines
But we are the gears
RESIST
There is division by zeroes
We cannot be defined
RESIST
There is division by zeroes
And we become infinity

Precious little bubbies with their hate flags
Don't even realize how weak and fragile they are
Some superior race... egg on face
Better tell 'em quick, they think they're special
Oh we did... huh... ten times for every one
It doesn't seem to matter
As if they would even know
The fear of driving while black
The risk of working while brown
The threat of loving while gay
Or trans and leaving their house
They'd cave in
Little snowflakes crushed into dust
Just bringing up privilege
Makes 'em rage and huff and fuss
Never learned perspective
Not taught control of emotions
Just vent it into rage
And the patriarchy guides its motion
Egg on face
We tried to tell you

PRECEDENTS REMIXED re-examines the material encapsulated in the original The Precedents of the United States of America EP. Tracks are re-imagined, reassembled, more deeply explored as if seen through a looking glass. A club banger... a voyage through space... a Godzilla attack... a time bomb. An epilogue follows the original tracks, as well as an additional remix of Division By Zero. Rounding out the collection is an instrumental version of the dancefloor-bound Slighter remix of Division By Zero.
